COMMUNICATION, CITY AND MEMORY

This space is aimed to gather thoughts on the interfaces established among the narratives that constitute the communication processes, the sociability established in the urban centers and the memory recognized as identity and cultural mark of our societies.

This space is neither restricted nor is it meant to be. Certainly, it reveals part of the intellectual production of a cunning group of professors, workers and students of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, which has chosen to think about this issue and renew it with substantial contributions.

The blog’s proposal is to overcome the barriers of the academic world and integrate new minds into the group, as well as highlight the issues discussed in the meetings of the research and extension projects, so that the vitality of these discussions can go beyond the constraints of time and space, and reach a far greater audience.

The reflection (and the passion) must drive our group in order to motivate our hearts and minds and make them aware of a more critical reading of means of communication, of the life in the cities and social memory, as raw materials for the understanding of the others and of the scenarios in which we are inserted.

The technology is our ally in the diffusion and integration of knowledge we produced to other groups of reflection. We wish to create a network of information and affection, in which the ideas can move freely and can collaborate in the construction of a more human and righteous society.
